"What is the condition of a fairy?" Imel asked Amel after a nod.

Amel and Imel was very easy to get along with other humans. In just about 5 hours, they've got friends.

Waktu tetap berjalan. Sampai akhirnya, waktu menunjukkan pukul 11.55. Imel merasa, dirinya harus segera kembali ke tempat asalnya. Ia melihat kawan kecilnya sedang tertidur pulas di atas alas berbahan kardus. Ia tak tega membangunkan mereka, akhirnya, ia memutuskan untuk pergi secara diam-diam.
Imel sudah berhasil keluar dari gubuk tanpa membangunkan teman-temannya. Dirinya merasa harus menghampiri Amel yang kelihatannya masih bermain bersama teman-teman.
“Amel! Ayo kita pulang!” seru Imel ketika ia mendapati Amel sedang membeli banyak kembang api bersama teman-temannya.
“Apa? Untuk apa Aku pulang?” jawab Amel.
“Tapi, waktu kita hanya tinggal sebentar lagi! Ayo kita pulang!” jelas Imel, kali ini nada suaranya lebih tegas.
“Tidak mau! Aku ingin tetap di sini! Kalau kamu mau pulang, ya pulang saja sendiri! Sana! Jangan ganggu Aku!” teriak Amel seraya mendorong tubuh Imel.
“Tapi…” ucapan Imel terputus, ia merintih kesakitan. Ternyata telapak tangannya lecet akibat terjatuh. Amel tidak menghiraukan Imel, ia segera berkumpul bersama teman-temannya lagi.
Karena merasa ia tidak dapat melakukan apa-apa lagi, Imel pun pulang ke tempat asalnya. Tepat pada pukul 12.00 tengah malam, tubuh Imel berubah menjadi merpati. Hatinya merasa puas karena ia dapat menjadi manusia yang memiliki banyak teman. Sedangkan Amel, ia terlihat tegang ketika tubuhnya mulai mengecil dan mengeluarkan bulu. Teman-temannya merasa takut melihat perubahan pada tubuh Amel, mereka pun lari terbirit-birit ketakutan. Dan Amel, hanya bisa bersedih karena belum puas dengan kebaikan yang diberikan peri. Ia belum sempat bersenang-senang dengan teman-temannya. Sekarang, ia hanya bisa bersedih dan meratapi kesendiriannya.
